HOW TO CLOSE THE SALE FASTER WITHOUT HOUNDING AND CHASING PEOPLE DOWN WITH A BUNCH OF FOLLOW UP

Hi there my friend, 

My name is Zeny Bugos and I’m here to confess that I hate follow-up!

Eeeeek...

‘Did she just say that?’ (I hear that voice in your head)



I know, I know.... you’ve been told that the FORTUNE is in the Follow Up.

Well.... I’m going to disagree with those that say, the fortune is in your prospecting (check out the resource action below at the end.)

You can either beat down the same people that aren’t interested, OR you can keep your funnel full of people that are interested.

BUT... this resource is all about Closing the Sale, so let’s get really good at that so we are more effective with our exposure to sign up ratios! 


MY TOP CLOSING SCRIPTS AND TIPS TO CLOSING MORE SALES FASTER WITHOUT A BUNCH OF NASTY FOLLOW UP


#1  SET THE PRESENTATION UP RIGHT


Make sure that the appointment is made where there is enough time for them to make a buying decision and also make sure that the environment is right.

You don’t want to be exposing your prospect to business material while they’re at their kids' basketball game where they can’t take the next step with you.

If you take your presentation appointment seriously, so will your prospect.


#2 SET UP THE PRESENTATION PROPERLY


I have lots of training on my blog on how to do this, but make sure you’re following these tips:

- Keep the chit-chat to a minimum and don’t be afraid to say: 

‘Let’s chat on that more after we talk about what I wanted to share with you’ 

- Share your commitment and make sure they feel it. I like to say: 

‘Hey listen what I’m about to share with you is something I’m extremely passionate about and I’m taking this idea to the moon and back and I wanted to give you the opportunity to see if it excites you as much as me’

- Don’t be salesy and use a take-away. I like to let my prospects know that I don’t NEED them. This might sound weird, but it works great because what people feel is taken away from them, they are more attracted to. I like to say something like

‘Now as passionate and excited I am about this idea, I have no idea if you’re going to catch the vision like me, but I wanted you to be one the first people I share this with because if you do see the vision with me, I think we could both have a lot of fun together.' 

- Insert a Relative Point as to why they want to pay close attention. So if you know a pain point that your prospect has that you know your product, service or opportunity can help with, insert it in the presentation set up. 

For example: 

‘Hey John, I know you were just telling me that you wanted to cut back some hours at work, I think this can really help you with that, so make sure to pay close attention’

Super Tip:

The Set Up can be more important than the actual close, so make sure to practice it and get good at it.


#3 ASK THE LEADING QUESTIONS TO THE SALE

Immediately after the presentation I say:

‘Awesome right! What did you like best?’

I don’t ask if they liked it. I don’t ask ‘what did you think?’ I say: 

‘WHAT DID YOU LIKE BEST?’

Then I listen. 


#4 ASK FOR THE SALE 

'Do you see an opportunity for yourself?’

Please don’t get this far and then quit. Most people stop here and then they wonder why their closing percentages suck.

At this point, they’ve told you everything they liked (because you asked them), so I say one of two things if they say YES they see an opportunity, I either say:

‘'Awesome, welcome to the team!’ 

OR

'Awesome! Is there anything else you need to know before we rock and roll and get you started?’

WHY DO WE NEED TO COMPLICATE THIS? ......WE DON’T :-) 


#5 LEAVE THE ONES THAT SAY NO

Yes, you will get people that tell you no and we don’t worry about those people. We’re not in the convincing profession. You’re looking for people that see the vision like you when you were shown your deal. There are more people out there that are like you and our job is to find them!


#6 GET GOOD AT HANDLING OBJECTIONS AND QUESTIONS

Yes, you’re going to have people that are interested in your business that may test you with questions and objections. 

One of the biggest words of advice that I can share when it comes to closing the sale, is to be fun and upfront with your prospects. They will completely appreciate it and it will take the weird salesy feeling out of the situation. 

I’m never afraid to say what’s on my mind and if I feel that I’m just wasting my time on someone and they’re not really that interested in what I’’m showing them, I’ll say something like: 

‘Hey listen John, if you’re not really catching the vision and you’re not that excited about this, just let me know...that way we can move on and not waste each other’s time.’

This helps you to cut to the chase and it also helps you eliminate those tire kickers that will clutter up your list.

BUSINESS MEETING - MY FOLLOW UP SCRIPTS

STOP GETTING STOOD UP AND GET MORE PEOPLE TO SHOW UP


Hi there my friend,

It’s so nice to meet you. I'm Zeny Bugos and I’m so excited for you to grab this resource I’ve put together for you.
Like all my resources, I put a ton of work into this one for you, so that you can make sure you get the highest rate of people that attend your business presentation so you can make more sales! 

It’s all about getting eyes on your business so this is a very important topic.

I’ve broken these processes into little scripts that you can start to learn, but like all the scripts that I teach on, please make note to add your personality to them. 

Sounding like a robot is not going to be flattering to the process, so practice them and add your own style. 

I’ve been in Network Marketing since 2005 and  so I've refined these processes with A LOT of people.


 Ok, let’s rock and roll.... 


HERE'S MY BUSINESS MEETING FOLLOW UP SCRIPTS

So you’ve made the appointment with someone to view your product, service or opportunity... how do you ensure that they don’t change plans, forget or stand you up?


#1 YOU'LL WANT TO SET UP THE MEETING PROPERLY FROM THE MOMENT YOU MAKE IT.

I like to say something like this:


 "Okay Tuesday at 7:15 pm it is. Now I trust you’re great at keeping your appointment time punctual, how do you normally set yourself reminders? Do you have a smart phone?"

There’s a few things in this set up that work really well.

1. I make the appointment time for 7:15 rather than 7. This is a strategy that showcases a little more importance with the meeting. This is how doctors book their appointments. 

2. When I say ‘I trust you’re great at keeping your appointment time punctual’ it speaks to their character and most people want to hold up to be a credible character and they’ll be less likely to discredit their character. 

3. Asking them how they keep their appointments can give you the opportunity to walk them through putting the appointment reminder in their phone right then and there so they don’t forget or so they can’t use the excuse that they forgot. 



#2 YOU CAN LET THEM KNOW THAT YOU ARE CLEARING YOUR SCHEDULE TO MAKE SURE YOU CAN MEET.
I like to use something like this:


“Okay John, I have us scheduled to meet at 7:15. I’m clearing my schedule just for you!’

It’s a little harder for someone to back out of a meeting when they know that you’ve specially made the time for them and your time is valuable.



#3 GET THEM COMMITTED TO BRING SOMETHING TO THE MEETING.
This works great if you’re having a home meeting. You can ask them to bring a bag of ice or a bag of chips. Something small and easy. 


“Alright John, I’ll see you at 7:15 sharp. Oh, by the way, can you do me a favor and make sure to bring a bag of ice?” 

When they feel like you depend on them for something, they are less likely to back out or no-show.

I’ve used this technique a lot and it always increases the number of people that show up.



#4 YOU’LL WANT TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT THE DAY OF THE MEETING.
Now keep in mind that most people do this all wrong.

Most people come from a place of desperation, rather than a place of posture when they confirm appointments. 

You have to assume the sale at all points of the process. Never look needy or beg for people to do stuff. The more you do that, the more resistance you will get from your prospects. 

Here’s an example of how I would follow up: 


“Hey John, just confirming today’s meeting with you at 7:15 sharp. I’m on schedule and I trust you are too right?”

I never say things like, 


"Are we still on for today?’

This allows them to say ‘No’. You never want to give that opportunity. This is a HUGE follow up tip and I hope you take it and use it. 

Setting up the meeting right is going to make sure that you have more people view your business and it’s so important to do it right like a professional. 

Your people will also respect you more when you do this. 



Meeting Tips to Keep You Strong:


1. Always assume that less people will show -- if you want to present your business to 10 people, invite 20 to the meeting. 

2. Understand that in today’s crazy busy world, people are busy and forgetful so help them to be as punctual to your meeting as possible.

3. Don’t get discouraged when people don’t show up in the beginning. You’ll get stronger in your invite the more you do it. I struggled with this in the beginning too, but I never gave up and that’s why I got better.

4. The people that are most successful in business are the people that showed the most people. It’s not the people that got the most people to say YES.... that’s not a factor that you can control.... you can only control the number of people that you show... so keep making those appointments and move through the numbers as fast as you can to create that momentum. 


So there you have it!

MY TOP 20 PROSPECTING QUESTIONS

Discover How To Best Present To Your Prospects Totally Great For Online & Offline Prospecting

I've been in Network Marketing since 2005 and my journey went from super struggle to top recruiters in our company over the last few years.... this doesn’t come without our fair share of prospecting! 


So these questions are NOT hypothetically put together. They are tried, tested and true in the real world.


A LITTLE BONUS

Before rattling off a bunch of questions to your prospect, it’s a good idea to build a little rapport with them and the fastest way to do that is to find a genuine compliment that you can share.


Just think of the roles being reversed and someone barging into your world with a bunch of questions before they build some sort of positive relationship first.... Probably wouldn’t be as effective. So once you’ve built a little rapport...




Here’s My Top 20 Prospecting Questions That Will Help You Discover How To Best Present To Your Prospects 


1. What do you do for a living? 

2. How long have you’ve been doing that? (their job)

3. Do you love what you do? (their job)

4. Is there anything you don’t love about it? (their job)

5. What’s your long term plan?

6. What’s the plan to accomplishing that? (the long term plan)

7. Oh you don’t have a solid plan? Would you like to see one? (the long term plan)

8. You know, I was in a spot where I had some goals and I didn’t have a plan either. I’m actually working with a mentor of mine that’s been great at showing me how to put my goals together.
Would you like to learn about a plan that might help you with your long term goals? (the long term plan)

9. (Insert Compliment), have you ever thought about being your own entrepreneur?

10. Let’s say that money and time weren’t factors that we had to think of, what would you being doing right now?

11. (Insert Compliment), would you be open to learning more about possibly working together part time, on the side, if it didn’t interfere with what you’re already doing?

12. What’s your passion?

13. Do you have any cool vacations planned coming up? Most prospects will say that they either have no time or money for vacations. This is truly a sad thing, but keep your ears open so you can help them with your opportunity)

14. I’m looking for a few (Insert Relevant Occupation) Realtors that might be open to a side project and making some extra money...do you know any?
This indirect approach is great and most often the prospect will ask what it is for themselves then I would add #15

15. What has you open to making some extra money right now? Also great for lead calls.

16. Do you have any kids or family?

17. (Insert a story where you know someone that doesn’t have enough time to see the kids or spend as much time with them) Are you in a position with work where you can see your kids as much as you like?
Inserting a common story inside prospecting is a very powerful skills and it helps with building rapport, opening their eyes to the situation and it’s a great way to find out if they are in that spot.

18. My mentor told me to keep an eye out for sharp people and we’ve been talking here a minute and I have to say (insert genuine compliment), would you be open to a side project and making some extra money if it didn’t interfere with what you’re already doing?
This is great for introducing people to your sponsor. It also takes the pressure off you in the prospecting process. Some people have a much easier time being that connector and if you’re working with a team that will help you with presentations this is really powerful.

19. If you could create your perfect day... what would it look like? 

20. Have you ever wondered how to make money online/Facebook/From your smart phone/Instagram etc?


Okay so there you have it! My Top 20 Prospecting Questions


Here Are Some Tips:


Yes there are 20 questions, but you’ll find a few that work with you best and stick to those few. You don’t need to use all 20... make it easy on yourself.

Please, Please, Please, for the love of god, LISTEN and talk very little. Our job is to collect as must information from our prospects so we can make our presentation about them. This will help your closing and sign up ratios BIG TIME.

Also, have SMALL bits of conversation with them in-between the questions. You don’t want to fire off the questions at them like a semi automatic ;-)
